![]() ![]() Does anyone have a way to do that?ĭo you see the lmhosts service in the registry at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services ? I've been doing research for several hours now, and I think this is because the TCP/IP Netbios helper service is missing from this computer for some reason (I checked other server 2016 DC's in other client networks that do have this service showing).ĭoes this sound correct? And if so, I cannot seem to find a way to reinstall the TCP/IP Netbios helper service onto this machine. Also from a client machine, I can open any shares EXCEPT sysvol and netlogon. However, If I try to browse to this server from this server using windows explorer, I can access it via hostname and FQDN, but not the domain name, ip address, localhost, or 127.0.0.1.įrom a client machine, I can browse to it or ping it however I want. ![]() ![]() I've checked all share permissions and security permissions and they are fine.Īlso on this server, I can ping myself using IP address, hostname, ping the domain itself, the FQDN, localhost, and 127.0.0.1 and they all resolve correctly. However, I can browse into them using the full local path. ![]() I have a super strange issue that I haven't run into before.īasically, on my Server 2016 DC, I cannot browse into any Shared folders on this server, including Netlogon or Sysvol. ![]()
